Regional Development Vorarlberg
Regional Development Vorarlberg (Regionalentwicklung Vorarlberg eGen) is an affiliation of 64 communities in Vorarlberg, Austria. The communities represent the valleys of: Arlberg, Brandnertal, Bregenzerwald, Great Walser Valley, Kloster Valley, Laternser Valley, Leiblach Valley, Montafon, and Walgau. The office is a central contact point for initiative groups. Local and national expert organisations are involved in the association. Their job is the professional evaluation, consultation and support of individual projects.
A central concern is the implementation of structural improvements in the rural area of Vorarlberg and targeted cooperation with organizations in the metropolitan areas. Here actions are initiated and implemented with current funding programmes on local, national and transnational level. „Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy“ is an important field of action for the development and sustainability of Vorarlberg´s regions. In recharge.green the pilot area in Vorarlberg offers a way to implement scientific findings from the project in practice while considering regional planning aspects.
